Police Intercept Man With 2 Gun

Police response riders 275 and 081 on patrol on Eko-Bridge have arrested an 18-year-old man of no fixed address with a Honda saloon car marked FX721 LSR.

The incident, according to the police, took place along Eko Bridge, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.



Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ngozi C. Braide, told PMNEWS that during a search conducted on the vehicle, the police discovered two locally made guns and three live cartridges while the other two occupants of the car escaped on sighting the police response riders, adding that efforts have been intensified to track down the fleeing robbers.

The case has been transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Yaba for discreet investigations.

In another development, policemen attached to Morogbo Police Station, Lagos State, while on routine patrol arrested two robbery suspects during a stop and search operation.

Items recovered from the suspects include a locally made gun and a spent cartridge.

The case has been transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

Also, at Tipper Garage, Power line, Idimu, an angry mob trailed two robbery suspects and arrested them.

The suspects, according to the police, had earlier robbed Alao Sakirudeen in his business place at Iyana Odo along Isheri-Igando, Idimu Road, before nemesis caught up with them.

One of the suspects who had deep cuts during the mob attack is said to be receiving treatment at Igando General Hospital while investigation continues.
