Meet The Nigerian University Don Who Says He Has Cure For HIV

A University Don, Professor Maduike Ezeibe of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State, has claimed his recent therapy for the dreaded Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is real and effective. According to Ezeibe, he discovered the therapy when he decided to join the medical world to search for a solution to HIV/AIDS.

His research into the therapy known as ‘Antivirt’ (Anti-Viral Therapy) started in 1994, but he was able to discover the therapy in 2013 when his research was published in the British Journal of Medicine & Medical Research, Ezeibe explained.

A Nigerian student has broken a 30-year-old maths equation and achieved the highest grades at a university in Japan for 50 years.

Ufot Ekong, who studied at Tokai University in Tokyo, achieved a first class degree in electrical engineering and scored the best marks at the university since 1965, the Flotilla Magazine reported.
He began his success early at the university, solving a 30-year-old maths equation in his first semester.
Throughout his university career Mr Ekong has won six awards for academic excellence.

A Group, United Nigerians In Diaspora, UNID, has called on the Federal Government to prevail on the Indonesian government to stay action on its plans to execute eight more Nigerian citizens for drug related offences.

Briefing newsmen in Lagos, the group’s president, Mr. Paschal Okolie, condemned what it described as the poor attitude of the government towards the recent execution of four Nigerians in Indonesia.

Tottenham and Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor has taken to his Facebook page to open up for the first time on his family saga months after the situation seemed to have calmed down.

The family was embroiled in a very public spat over money last year leading to Adebayor calling his mother a witch who was working to stifle his career.
The Togo striker claims that his brother stole 21 phones when at a football academy in France, that his sister rented out a million-dollar home he purchased for her without informing him and that his mother ‘hung up’when he informed her of the birth of his daughter.

In a statement he released through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka today May 5th, Fayose said he wondered why President Jonathan will lose Bauchi state to the APC when the party chairman Adamu Muazu, FCT Mininster and the state Governor Isa Yuguda are from that state.

The corporal had accused his boss, an Inspector of trying to woo his alleged girlfriend whom he has spent a lot of money on, and asked him to leave her, but when he refused, he shot the girl, shot the inspector and shot himself. According to reports, the homeless girl isn’t even his girlfriend. Sadly, the police corporal and inspector are said to be married with kids. What a waste.

Yinka Adebamiro murder latest – Sister of woman who murdered husband confesses

Temitope’s sister, who spoke with SaharaTV on the condition that her identity was not disclosed, revealed that Temitope was not as much of a victim as local media in the United States has made her out to be.

The husband of 25-year-old Damilola Fajana, who was killed by a stray bullet in the Arepo community, Ogun State, during a clash between members of the Oodua People’s Congress and some suspected pipeline vandals, says his life will never be the same again.

Bukayo, who was on admission at a hospital at the time of the incident, said his marriage to his late wife was barely one year old, adding that she was six months and two weeks pregnant.

He added that she was planning to give birth in the United States, having had a scan which showed that she was carrying a boy.

PUNCH Metro had reported on Friday that Damilola, a lawyer from Ire, Ekiti State, was in her car when she was hit by a stray bullet in the neck.

She was among three persons reportedly killed during the gun battle between the OPC members and the vandals, who were mostly Ijaw.

Our correspondent reported on Monday that the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Solomon Atanda, led a protest on Friday.

He said he would not allow Arepo to become a battleground.

Norwegian Defence Chief, Haakon Bruun-Hansen, an admiral, has apologised to the country’s lawmakers for the sale of a fleet of a naval battleships and combat boats to a former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo.

He was the leader of one of the militias in the Niger Delta that led a devastating campaign of violence against the Nigerian state for years until he was awarded a multi-billion pipeline protection contract by the out-going Goodluck Jonathan administration as part of an amnesty deal with militants.

The Lagos State Government has said there is no going back on the state’s planned relocation of Computer Village and the popular Mile 12 market. According to the State’s commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Toyin Ayinde, it was necessary in other to decongest traffic on the roads leading to these overcrowded places.

While speaking at a ministerial press conference in Alausa, Ikeja, Mr Ayinde said the Mile 12 Market along with Ajelogo and Akinmode markets would certainly be relocated to Parafa in Ikorodu to decongest traffic on the expressway.

He also mentioned that Computer Village will be relocated to Katangowa in Agbado Oke-Odo, Lagos adding that the conceptual plan of the Internet City and business park had been adopted.

Founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Dr. Fredrick Fasheun, has been overthrown as president of the organisation by a faction of the group led by Comrade Dare Adesope, who has been announced as the new president of the congress.

At a news conference on Tuesday at the congress’ secretariat, Egbe area of Ikotun, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Adesope said OPC has lost confidence in the leadership of Fasheun who had thrown the organisation into crisis and politics.

The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has invited the President- elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to the forthcoming Group of Seven industrialized nations of the world (G-7) summit in Berlin.

The invitation to the summit slated for May 8 and 9 in the German capital was delivered to Buhari by the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Zenner, at the Defence House, Abuja, on Tuesday.

The G-7 nations are Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, and the United States.

Merkel is the head of the G-7 group.

These secondary school students taught themselves to code and, with encouragement from their parents and school, they’ve achieved something extraordinary.

Anesi and Osine Ikhianosime, 13 and 15 years old respectively, are students of Greensprings school, Anthony Campus, Lagos, and they developed an Android based web browser called Crocodile Browser Lite sometime last year.
As a matter of fact, these teenagers’ creation is actually on the Google Play Store. Speaking to TechCabal.com, Osine, 13, said he writes the code together with his brother, for their creations and his brother also designs the user interface.

A video clip(scroll down) shows what seems to be a typical Sunday religious service at a small church. A young African man, accompanied by an Asian guitarist, sings a heartfelt gospel song as the audience sings along.

But the camera does not show the security guards, iron bars and barbed wire fences that would have indicated this was no ordinary place. The singer, Okwudili Oyatanze, was giving his regular performance at a penitentiary outside the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

A Youber by the name darylalim revealed how he had the privilege to serve Okwudili during his last prison ministry in Indonesia.Nigerian Okwudili Ayotanze was born April 18 1974 in a devout Christian family. Returning to Indonesia in January 28 2001 he was arrested at Jakarta’s Soekarno Hatta Airport for possession, and the judicial court sentenced him with death penalty.

The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, has urged the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to immediately commence reforms in the aviation sector by converting the presidential fleet for public use.

Agbakoba, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday while he listed eight areas Buhari must concentrate on in order to succeed.

He said, “The aviation sector requires major reform. Nigeria has no presence in the aviation business. Nigeria Airways has been long comatose. Foreign aircraft dominate the Nigerian airspace and earn well over a trillion naira to our exclusion.

A business mogul, Prince Arthur Eze, has said that the recent victory of General Muhammadu Buhari, at the presidential election has given more confidence to many oil companies who have left Nigeria but now returning to the country.

Prince Eze who is also an oil magnet, revealed that all of them in the oil industry will support General Buhari’s government saying “because God has giving him power.”

Bank Female Marketers Entice New Senators And House Of Representatives Members In Abuja

Various banks’ female marketers have flooded the International Conference Centre (ICC), venue of an ongoing induction course for newly elected Senators and House of Representatives members which started yesterday.

Investigations by Punch showed that the target of the banks largely was to entice the lawmakers to open accounts with them. Over 290 members of the House are newcomers, out of the total of 360. About 69 new senators are also newcomers, out of 109.

The much anticipated report of the forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, operations on the missing $20 billion oil money may not amount to much after all, with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the audit firm that conducted the probe, saying it cannot vouch for the integrity of its findings.

In a startling introductory letter addressed to Nigeria’s Auditor General, the audit firm said findings in its 199-page report were limited to available information and did not constitute a review in accordance with generally accepted standards.
