2 Held With Fake $13,900

Two men who allegedly went to exchange fake $13,900 for naira have been arrested by the police at Ajao Police Station, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

The police identified the suspects as Okoye, 38 years and 26-year old Ajuebor who were alleged to have gone to a bureau de change at Hajj Camp along Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road to exchange the fake dollars.




Rabiu, the money changer discovered the fake dollars and contacted the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ajao Police Station who immediately deployed his officers to arrest the two men.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi C. Braide explained that the two suspects reside at Ajah and that they were arrested with a Honda Accord saloon car marked GZ 838APP.

According to the police image maker, the suspects will soon be charged to court. She advised bureau de change operators to always be on the watch out so as not to fall victim to fraudsters.
