A New Jersey couple and their two dogs were found shot to death Wednesday evening in an apparent murder-suicide, state police said.
The bodies of Scott Rector, 30 and Stacy Rector, 28, were found in their Commercial Township, N.J. home by a colleague of Scott Rector, Lt. Stephen Jones confirmed to the Daily News.
A suicide note and a semi-automatic weapon were found nearby.
The couple’s two dogs were also shot dead. All four bodies were found in bed, police said.
It was unclear who might have pulled the trigger, but Bridgeton News reports that police believe that Stacy Rector shot her husband and the couple’s two dogs before turning the gun on herself.
