Chris Lighty Dead — Hip-Hop Manager Commits Suicide At 44

Hip-hop manager Chris Lighty ended his life on Thursday morning, Aug. 30, according to a new report — how sad.


Chris Lighty reportedly died Thursday morning after allegedly shooting himself in the head in his Bronx apartment.


Chris, 44, a longtime manager of 50 Cent, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey, was found dead inside his apartment at 11:30 A.M., police sources tell the Daily News.

A gun was allegedly found next to his body and a bullet to his head.

Chris may have been dealing with financial trouble as he owed $5 million to the IRS, according to the report.

Soon after the news broke, celebrities started tweeting out their condolences.

“R.I.P. Chris Lighty,” posted Fat Joe on Twitter. “That man saved my life.”
