Former presidential candidate and renowned public commentator, Prof. Pat Utomi, has condemned the attack on General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, by Kayode Ogundamisi, a loyalist of former Head of State, General Muhamadu Buhari.
Ogundamisi had accused Adeboye of having a “warped” mind for condemning homosexuality as capable of ending humanity.
Adeboye, speaking on homosexuality, had warned that it is unbiblical and capable of ending the human race, as heterosexual sex is vital to the survival of the species.
But, Ogundamisi, who was upset by the comment, accused Adeboye of having a “warped” mind for expressing that opinion.
Ogundamisi had said: “No disrespect, but Pastor Enoch Adeboye saying gay marriage could end humanity, just explain his warped state of mind. Corruption is worse!”
Responding, Utomi stressed that it was unfortunate that Ogundamisi could use such an uncouth language in addressing Adeboye.
According to Utomi: “Pastor Adeboye is a man who has proven to be an asset to not just the body of Christ, but to Nigeria and the world, and it is unfortunate that anybody would use such uncouth language in addressing him.”
