Surprising find ... pre-launch version of the new Jaguar F-type
A PRE-LAUNCH version of the new Jaguar F-Type has been spotted - in the unlikely location of the Welsh village of Llangennech.
The chequered-flag-decorated car, which has been in development for 40 years, was seen parked in the Carmarthenshire village over the weekend.
But the motor failed to spark any excitement, with most locals failing to even notice the high-end motor parked on their doorstep.
A Jaguar spokesman revealed: "One of the Jaguar engineering team was evaluating a prototype of the F-Type over the weekend.
"The driver was in Llangennech in west Wales visiting friends. This isn't a regular route for the engineering team."
Graduate David Darbyshire was among those who did spot the car during the weekend, saying: "It was impressive."
Prices for the new Jag will start at £58,500, with the top-of-the-range model boasting a 488bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine and a top speed of 186mph.
