Super eagles former Defensive Midfielder, Yusuf Ayila has denied the allegation that he abandoned his wife, Aishat Gbemisola and daughters Aliyat and Sefinat Yussuf in Kiev, Ukraine since october 2011 and eloped with a mistress.
Ayila, who responded through his spokesman, Ola Muhammed, expressed his anger and sadness at the widespread rumour,
First, We'll like to state categorically that Gbemisola is not Ayila's legal wife as widely reported. Rather she is the mother of his two children. Ayila and Gbemisola met years back and started a casual relationship. The trouble started between them when he asked her to bring his children for holiday in Ukraine. One day while he lived with her, he opened Gbemi's wardrobe in Ukraine and found charms including a Snake inside a bottle filled with Gin.
Ayila was initially warned by his family members that the girl was Fetish. He felt uncomfortable living in the same roof with her. he then asked her to return back to Nigeria but she refused to leave. He never stopped paying the house rent even after his departure to Orduspor, Turkey where he was loaned. He was also paying the Children's school fees and other bills. Ayila sent her mails to return back to Nigeria but she refused. He told her he would stop paying the rents by the end of April because she had no business staying there. When she refused again he sent someone to collect her passport before she tarnished his image and career.
Ayila has also stated that he gives the woman N1million naira monthly and also gives her parents monthly allowance also. on the accusation that he abandoned his family and eloped with a mistress, he stated that he is a good muslim and a responsible father who loves and still caters for his children till date. On the said mistress, he said he's legally married to a very responsible, God fearing lady named Ololade Aderogba, who is his wife and not a mistress.
