For those who saw the injuries on late banker, Titi Arowolo, you will all agree that it didn't look self-inflicted. But the man standing trial for her murder is still insisting she killed herself. 

Kolade Arowolo was in court yesterday May 22nd and told the court that Titi actually attacked him with the knife and eventually turned the knife on herself. He said: "I'm not that kind of person. I loved her so much".

Explaining what happened on June 24th 2011, Kolade said he and his wife had sex on that day. He said they'd agreed to stay indoors throughout the day since it was his birthday, adding that he, however, went out to withdraw money which they would use in celebrating his birthday. Continue..

Woolwich horror: ‘Islamists who slaughtered soldier’ are British born with Nigerian background

A house has been raided in connection with the murder of a soldier in Woolwich yesterday afternoon.
The police swooped on the house as the name of one of the suspects was revealed on internet forums and Twitter as Michael Adebolajo.
He was the alleged killer seen ranting on video shortly after the murder of a soldier is believed to be Michael Adebolajo.
It is understood the men, who are being treated in separate hospitals while under arrest, are most likely to be British citizens of Nigerian descent who have converted to a radical form of Islam.
However, they are not thought to have links to terror groups based in Nigeria, such as the jihadist militant organisation Boko Haram.

A very big disaster was averted last Sunday, May 19th, when an SAA South African Airways Airbus A340-600, registration ZS-SNG performing flight SA-60 from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Lagos (Nigeria) conveying over 300 people developed an electrical fault in Mid-air. I got this info from someone on the flight and i am suprised that it's not in the news.

I heard about it yesterday when a work colleague of mine was narrating the entire story to me and another guy in his car. According to him, he was on the flight that faithful day..it was a night flight and he was listening to music from his Ipod when he perceived a foul burning odor,  he thought the white man sitting next to him had farted but he knew it something more serious when he noticed people panicking.

Arik staff caught with N180m worth of cocaine at Heathrow airport

A female Arik staff was arrested yesterday Tuesday May 21st at Heathrow airport London for allegedly carrying cocaine worth about N180 million. Temitayo Olubunmi Daramola was arrested with 6kg of cocaine while another hostess Delita Abibimgbi was arrested for having 60 packets of cigarettes in her possession. The max limit of cigarettes any passenger is allowed to carry is 10 packs.

Security at Heathrow Airport detained Temitayo and Delita after detecting the illicit drugs in their possession. They are being held in custody by the UK authorities in London.

A man, believed to be a serving soldier, was attacked and beheaded with a machete in broad day light this afternoon in Woolwich, South London by two men in what is suspected to be a terror attack.

The soldier was attacked with knives and meat cleavers following a car crash. Two black men in a blue Vauxhall car rammed into the soldier on John Wilson Street, then jumped out of their car and started attacking him with meat cleavers. An eye witness said the attackers were "chopping this guy to pieces, literally hacking at something like it was a piece of meat".

Man Who Kills Only Pregnant Women Arrested.. Vows To Kill More Women

The killer of a pregnant bride the day before her wedding warned that he will continue to kill pregnant women every week, according to police.

The demon that killed a pregnant Brooklyn, New York, bride-to-be left a note under her dead body promising that more expectant mothers will die unless "The DC sniper" is released from jail, police sources told a local New York newspaper.

The single-page, computer-printed message was discovered Saturday after police were called to the blood splattered basement apartment in Flatbush of Vindalee Smith, 38, after she had been stabbed and her throat cut.

"The note was under her body. They found it when she was turned around," a police source said. Written in large black block letters, the note warned that a pregnant woman a week was going to die unless Washington, DC, sniper Lee Boyd Malvo was released from prison, a source familiar with the investigation said.


But detectives are skeptical and believe that this is a ploy by the murderer to throw them off the track, but they do not rule out anything, the source said. Police believe, Smith, who was a day away from getting married and two weeks before giving birth, knew her murderer. There were no signs of forced entry and no weapon was found.

Malvo, 27, is serving a life sentence for six of the 10 Beltway sniper attacks that terrorized the country in 2002. He and his master murderer, John Allen Muhammad, had planned to kill six white people a day for a month. Muhammad was executed in November 2009.

23 year old Blessing Ikhumhi, a student of Edo State School of Health Technology was bathed with acid by her ex-boyfriend Cyril Okosun after she ended things with him.

According to the story by Guardian, On March 23rd 2013, Cyril asked to speak with Blessing after she ended their relationship and thinking he wanted to talk reconciliation, she agreed to see him. He visited her house and as she went out to talk to him, he bathed her with acid.

Blessing is now blind in both eyes and battling to stay alive at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City where she is a patient.

5 men arrested for exhuming corpses and selling their parts

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested five men for allegedly exhuming corpses and selling their parts for ritual purposes.

According to police authorities, the suspects –, Jamiu Adeleke, Ajibade Rafiu, Fatai Akiwowo, Kazeem Sanni and Agboola Kolawole – had at different times sold human parts in Owode, Ogun State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ngozi Braide, said Adeleke was arrested by the police and through his confession, were able to apprehend the others.

Star FM DJ Kills Man Because He Was Having An Affair With His Wife

Star FM DJ Munyaradzi Mlimo, popularly known as DJ Munya has been arrested on allegations of kidnapping and killing a man he suspected of engaging in an extra-marital affair with his wife.

The DJ reportedly forced the man to drink poison. The Zimbabwean radio personality was arrested in Harare following the disappearance of the man, who was identified as Magorimbo.

DJ Munya was yesterday still assisting the police with investigations. The matter is being handled by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department’s Homicide section.


Although the details were still sketchy by last night, sources close to the investigations said some time this month, DJ Munya suspected that his wife who works at PSMAS was having an affair with Magorimbo, a workmate.

Sometime last week he reportedly confronted Magorimbo at his workplace.

“A few days later Magorimbo went missing and a report was made to the police. Magorimbo went missing for two days, leading to the arrestof DJ Munya on allegations of kidnapping,” said the source.

On Saturday Magorimbo was dumped near his flat in the city while he was unconscious and was taken to St Anne’s Hospital for treatment.

Magorimbo died yesterday morning and it is believed that he was forced to drink an undisclosed pesticide.

His body is still at the hospital’’s mortuary awaiting post mortem.

National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi yesterday said he could not comment as he was out of town.

According to a story in Encomium magazine, the family of former Liberian president and war crimes prisoner, Charles Taylor, have been ejected from their N2.5million per year rented mansion in Diamond Hills in Calabar, Cross Rivers state. The family he left behind in Calabar as he faced criminal charges in The Hague were ejected because they were unable to per their rent. The house belongs to Dr. Joseph Wayas, the Second Republic Senate President.
