A spaniard identified as Jose Anthonio Murilli Turrilo has been rescued from his 'lover' kidnapper.Jose was held captive in a hotel in Benin by his lover identified as Okafor Ada Joy, 28,along with one Kehinde Oyemwina, 25.
Jose was lured all the way from spain by Uche, who with the help of Kehinde, dispossesed the spaniard of all the money he had when he arrived Nigeria. On noticing he no longer had money in his domiciliary account, the duo then forced Jose to call his sister in spain to send to them 2000 euros before he could be released.
According to the police commissioner,Folusho Adebanjo, Jose's sister quickly reported the matter to INTERPOL Spain, which later contacted the Nigerian INTERPOL. Nigerian Interpol in turn contacted Edo state police command, who then swung into action and the criminals were arrested.
