Upmarket ... Mario Balotelli on Time Magazine cover
Police were called to his rented Cheshire mansion as a firecracker caused thousands of pounds of damage — forcing the Manchester City striker and pals to flee.
The year before, Mario, 22, upset neighbours by firing rockets from the balcony of his previous apartment in Manchester’s Deansgate.
A source said: “Mario thinks it’s great the English have Bonfire Night.
“His pals have organised another do at his place. They are also planning to go to a huge display at Wythenshawe Park.”
Balotelli has backed fireworks safety campaign Treacle.
The £24million ace said: “It’s an important message.”
He's a man of the Time
THIS is an unexpected position in which to spot Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli — on the cover of upmarket Time Magazine, above.
The maverick Italian ace told the prestigious mag’s European edition he had toned down his wild partying recently.
Claiming he now prefers to spend his spare time at his Cheshire home, the 22-year-old said: “This year I don’t go out, so it can rain as much as it wants.”
