Justin Bieber’s California license plate missing from his speedy Fisker Karma, making it illegal to drive

Time to take the bus? The license plate from the pop singer’s exotic hybrid-electric Fisker Karma sports car has disappeared, which under California law means it can’t legally be driven on the street.

You can’t break the law if the car’s not moving: Justin Bieber in his ‘Boyfriend’ video.

Is this just bad karma for Justin Bieber’s speeding troubles this summer?

The license plate of the Canadian crooner’s hybrid-electric Fisker Karma has gone missing, and thanks to California law, this could cause a pretty annoying roadblock for Bieber, TMZ reported.

The property manager of Bieber’s Calabasas, Calif. mansion apparently noticed the missing plate and called the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, who went on scene to make a report.

No one’s really sure what happened to the plate, but because it’s illegal to drive without one, the Karma could be off the road for a while.

That might not be a bad thing for Bieber, who was pulled over twice in July for speeding. Then, the pop star told police his hot rod, carrying not only himself but gal pal Selena Gomez as well, was being chased by paparazzi.
Justin Bieber got pulled over not once, but twice by California Highway Patrol officers for speeding in July in his chrome Fisker Karma, above.

Later, one paparazzo involved in that chase — Paul Raef, who sped after Bieber in a Toyota SUV at over 80 mph — was slammed with four criminal counts.

Raef had faced legal trouble for speeding behind celebrities before, with a restraining order filed against him for a similar high-speed chase involving Heidi Klum.

Whether Bieber’s license plate is returned to him now, later, or never, at very least one Amazon.com user, mycustomvinyl, is listing a new, quality aluminum “Justin Bieber License Plate” for $9.99.
