Jennifer Lopez sues former driver for extortion

Jennifer Lopez has sued her former driver, Hakob Manoukian for allegedly attempting to extort $2.8m from her.

The driver in his original law suit, alleged to have hired two police officers to assist with security during JLo’s video shoot with Def Jam records but his gesture was declined by JLo’s manager, Benny Medina, who he claims later forced him to resign.

In a counter suit, J.LO, 43, singer refuted the claim and is seeking a sum of $ 20 million in damages caused her by her former employee.

The singer claims Manoukian had become power drunk and exhibited desire to control her security team and upon her decline, he threatened to disclose to the media, secrets he’d overheard while he served as her driver, which is against the confidentiality agreement made before his employment.

JLo recently resigned as a judge on the annual music reality show, American Idol and was replaced by singer, Mariah Carey.
