Boko Haram: Bomber dies in a wheel barrow bomb attack in Maiduguri

A Boko Haram suspect was, yesterday, killed in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, when a bomb connected to a wheel barrow got exploded at Ramat Square along West End road.


The Spokesman to the Joint Task Force, Lt.-Col. Sagir Musa who confirmed the incident said: “There was an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, explosion today (yesterday) at West End, Ramat Square General Area of Maiduguri metropolis.

“The device was concealed in a wheel barrow by suspected Boko Haram sect member and it exploded at about 8.35am. The owner of the wheel barrow was killed instantly, while attempting to escape.”

Musa further avowed that only one person, the bomber died at the process, as the place had been condoned off by the men of the JTF and the anti-bomb squared.
