A Texas nanny was charged with a felony after being caught on the family nanny cam dangerously throwing the infant girl into her crib, grabbing her by the head, and suffocating her on purpose! Find out more of the shocking details.
Tirza Magana, 48, was arrested on charges of child endangerment after an unidentified couple came forward with disturbing footage taken from the hidden camera within their home.
After noticing their little girl growing lethargic and acting strange, they decided to install a hidden camera in their home, and saw alarming behavior from the woman who cared for their baby multiple times during the day for an entire month.
On film, the couple witnessed Tirza throwing their little girl into her crib, putting her at risk of head and neck injury. They also saw the nanny carrying the baby around by the head, and covering her nose and mouth to suffocate her.
“‘She places both hands over the complainant’s nose and mouth and applies force… causing the baby to flail about, struggling to breathe,” court documents stated, according to the Daily Mail.
Tirza even admitted to smothering the baby several times a day during the month she was caring for her, and even said she knew her actions could have killed the little girl.
The nanny has been charged with a felony, was released on $10,000 bond on Aug. 17.
