Nigerian governor, ex-security head die in air crash

Tragedy has struck again as news reaching us says a helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Navy has crashed in Bayelsa state. The crash occurred in a swampy location near Okoroba community in Nembe local government area of the state.

Although details of the casualty figure are still vague, it is feared that there are no survivors of the air mishap. It was gathered that the chopper was carrying some prominent Nigerians who were headed to Port Harcourt after attending the burial ceremony of the father of President Jonathan’s aide, Mr. Oronto Douglas.

It is believed that the former National security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi and Kaduna State Governor, Patrick Yakowa were on board and reports says no one survived.
