Closed off ... Trafalgar Square in the early hours of this morning
TOM Cruise brings London to a standstill as he shuts down the bustling heart of the city – to shoot a movie scene.
The Hollywood heavyweight has been in town filming All You Need Is Kill, turning busy tourist spot Trafalgar Square into a strangely desolate place.
All roads leading to the famous landmark were closed off to the public.
Only a few cast and crewmembers were present when Tom arrived in a military helicopter in the early hours of this morning.
He was clad in the army uniform of his character Lt Col Bill Cage and shared laughs with his movie colleagues.
The actor teamed his military fatigues with aviator shades, evoking memories of his Top Gun heyday.

Next up he’ll be seen playing vigilante hero Jack Reacher in the Lee Childs adaptation of the same name.
