Award winning music legend, Tina Turner, 73, is set to marry her long time partner, Erwin Bach, who is 56.
According to a Swiss tabloid, the ceremony will take place in the garden of her Swiss estate.
The groom to be is a German record executive, 17 years junior.
The American super star recently renounced her US citizenship for Switzerland, where she has been living with Bach since the mid 90s. They have been together for about 27 years.
Few years ago, she declined his proposal, but they have finally concluded to make the union officially now.
Turner, real name Ana Mae Bullock, has a career that has spanned over 50 years. She started singing in the 1950s as part of Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm, and rose to stardom as part of Ike and Tina Turner Revue.
She divorced Ike in 1978 after enduring years of abuse and converted to Buddhism.
She rose back to fame in the 80s and has been iconic ever since.
Indeed when it comes to love, their union proves that age is just a number.

I Pounded My Parents To Death Because They Hated Me-Mentally Deranged Daughter

A mentally deranged daughter, Elo, has killed her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonah Elili, in Delta State.
Elo, 32, killed her parents on Thursday in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Her dad, 75, is reported to be a retired Army Warrant Officer. Her mum was 65.
Reports had it that Elo had been mentally ill and roaming the town naked.
Her dad reportedly dragged her back into the house and locked her in a room.
However, neighbors were to discover the dead bodies of her parents in the house on Thursday morning.
They were soaked in blood.
Elo, who has been arrested by the police, told her interrogators that she killed her parents because they hated her.
She told her interrogators: “My parents hate me.
“They locked me up in a room where they first hit me before I retaliated with a pestle.
“I saw blood and that is all I know.”

Facebook may unveil smartphone next week

Facebook fueled fresh talk Friday about its own mobile phone after the leading social network scheduled a press announcement for next week.

Shortly after the Facebook invitation went out for the April 4 event, the technology news site TechCrunch reported the announcement would be a modified version of the Google Android operating system with “deep native Facebook functionality.”

Another report on “9 to 5 Google” said Facebook designing the software for the new smartphone, which would be made by Taiwan’s HTC.

Facebook’s invitation said only “Come See Our New Home On Android.”

17-Year-Old Spends Eight Years In Jail For ‘Wandering’

It was a moment of joy recently for the mother of a prison inmate that had been awaiting trial since 2005. Mrs. Maria Emmanuel danced and shouted with joy on the court premises of the Lagos High Court, sitting in Igbosere when Justice Deborah Oluwayemi released her son, Paul Samuel.

Five other awaiting trial inmates were also released by the court. They included Fatai Amidu, Adebayo Owuade, Gabriel Samuel, Mike Ofoje and Lawal Karimu.

No, not for 419, internet scam or fake marriage, but for attempting to work and earn decent stipends to augment what they get from home.

Imo State has impeached their deputy Gov for allegedly taking bribe

Imo State Deputy Governor Jude Agbaso was today impeached by the State House of Assembly. 25 out of 26 state legislators voted in favour of Mr Agbaso's impeachment.

The deputy governor was impeached for allegedly demanding and taking N417million bribe from a Lebanese Construction company, J-PROS Limited, engaged in the on-going road construction works in Imo State.

Agbaso denies he collected bribe. Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Eze Madumere, has replaced him as Deputy Governor of the state.

A prostitute in Zimbabwe 'died' during a hotel romp with a client - only to come back to life as her body was being put in a coffin. The vice girl reportedly collapsed during a sex session last week at the Manor Hotel in Bulaweyo. Convinced she was dead, her shocked client called the police - who sent paramedics to collect the body. 

But as they were loading the 'corpse' into a metal coffin, the hooker suddenly woke up screaming.

'We made love for two hours before she died' - Akolade Arowolo

Akolade Arowolo, the 31-year-old man standing trial for allegedly killing his banker wife, Titilayo, on June 24, 2011 said he and the deceased kissed and had sex for two hours on the day she died.

He said:

“That day she died was my birthday. I see birthdays as a new year in one’s life and I usually pray at the early hours of that day. I prayed till 3am but was woken by my wife’s kiss. We had sex for almost two hours and it was very good as we hadn’t done such in a while. We later prayed and talked about how we could improve on our relationship as well as business opportunities.”

Akolade said he only slapped his wife once throughout their three-year marriage, adding that their marriage was not a violent one as alleged.

I Smuggled Drugs For Love I Have For My Nigerian Boyfriend-33 Year Old Senegalese Woman Nabbed At MMA

A 33-year-old Senegalese woman has informed narcotics investigators that she smuggled drugs for the love she had for her Nigerian boyfriend.
The suspect, Kamara Oumou, with Senegal’s international passport number, 400680371, was found with 680 grammes of narcotics that tested positive to heroin and cocaine.
She was apprehended by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja Lagos, while attempting to board an Arik flight to Dakar.
NDLEA Airport Commander Mr Hamza Umar, said the suspect taped three parcels of cocaine weighing 515 grammes on her waist while six wraps of heroin weighing 165 grammes were inserted in her private part.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Usen Effiong, for posing as a medical doctor and consulting for the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital for more than two months.

The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Etim Dickson, said Effiong, an indigene of Ukot Usung Itam, in Itu Local Government Area was caught based on intelligence report from the UUTH.

He said, “The police arrested Effiong in the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital impersonating a medical doctor.

3 university students have been gruesomely murdered in Ibadan with their bodies dumped by the roadside.The identified students were beheaded and their bodies were thrown from a black Range rover jeep at Ijebu-ode -Ibadan road today.

Former English glamour model Alicia Douvall has had more than 330 cosmetic procedures and operations – far outstripping American Cindy Jackson, usually credited with being the world’s most surgically-enhanced woman.

Since her first breast augmentation when she was just 17 – and she has had 16 such operations – the former model and mother of two has undergone six nose jobs, 11 operations on the skin around her eyes, surgery on her cheeks to add and then remove implants, and a facelift. She has also had a rib shortened to give her a slimmer silhouette, her toes shortened ‘so they looked better in heels’, a tummy tuck, bottom implants and chin implants which were later removed.
